Cafepress Shop v1.02 Released

Posted in Coding by Fox on the October 21st, 2005

I have just released a new version of Cafepress Shop for Xoops. This small module allows anyone with a Cafepress.com Basic account to display his store directly on his Xoops web site instead of having to link to the Cafepress.com web site. The release (v1.02) has a new item page, which displays the product description, and is clean of some bugs reported in the earlier version.

CP 1.02 solves the missing image problem. Unfortunately now when I click on the images in my site I can’t link out to Cafepress. When I hover over the picture I see that the link will be my web page’s URL plus the cafepress account, not the cafepress URL and info. I installed 1.01 and see that when I hover over a link it will redirect me to Cafepress. I looked through the 1.02 code hoping to find a glaring problem that I could fix but I don’t know much and couldn’t find anything. I’m running on Xoops 2.2.3 Final.

In the meantime I’ve made a custom block to try to get the look of your module, but of course you module has features I can’t replicate.

Thanks for your work. I hope this feedback is useful.

Seems that cafepress has made some change on their end so that your link parsing no longer works correctly :-(

Links from the block do not return product info when redirected to the module index.

Links on the products themselves from the module index page (which DOES display the products when clicked from the main menu) do not return the full item description information like it used to.

The way it stands right now:

The only link that works in the module is the link in the main menu to get to it. :-(

Love the module, hopefully this issue can be resolved fairly quickly, as I have had to remove it from all of the sites I administer that use it, due to the ‘dead link’ issue. :-(

    Keep up the great work!

We’re having the same problem as asrock. Any solutions to this issue are welcome.

Cafepress Shop is almost a dead project, I haven’t updated it for months now. I can’t promise anything, but I’ll try to release a working version with the new Cafepress.com layout in days (or most probably weeks) to come.

If you will go through sometime and comment the code throughly I could take the project over for you as I have the skills and the need of this module. I would never take credit for it of course.

Why does it still say 4 comments?

You have to refresh your browser probably.
Concerning the Cafepress Shop, I will release a working version in a day or two.
